Custom fabrication

Custom fabrication is for the homeowner who needs something that simply does not exist in a store. Maybe you have an odd-sized opening for a gate, a specific angle for a handrail, or a bracket that has to fit around existing pipes. You call us because you have a problem and a space, and you need a metal piece built to match it exactly.

We start by listening to what you need and taking measurements of the space. Then we select the material, steel, aluminum, or stainless, and cut it to size using a saw or plasma cutter. We weld each joint with a MIG or TIG process, depending on the metal and finish, and grind the welds smooth. Finally, we clean the surface and apply a primer or finish if the design calls for it.

Every custom job is different because the space, the access, and the use case vary. A handrail on a narrow staircase with tight corners takes more time than a straight run. Outdoor pieces need corrosion-resistant materials and more prep. The size of the piece, the complexity of the bends, and the condition of the existing structure all affect how long the work takes and what it costs.

On the day of fabrication, our crew arrives with the materials and tools needed. We protect your driveway, deck, or landscaping with drop cloths and plywood. We work on site, cutting and welding, and we clean up all metal scraps, grinding dust, and packaging before we leave. Before we arrive, clear the area of furniture, plants, or vehicles. After we finish, you can use the piece right away.
